Monthly MRC Meetings

The Snohomish MRC meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  All meetings are open to the public.

Meetings are held at the Snohomish County Campus at 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett WA, 98201 in the first floor Public Hearing Room 2 in the Robert J. Drewel (Admin East) Building.  Click here for directions and a Snohomish County Campus map.

  • June 1: Living with the Coast: Is your land slip sliding away?
    This FREE workshop is open to any shoreline property owner is Snohomish or Island County. If you have a broad beach or low bank and want tips on how to protect your property while promoting healthy marine ecosystems or if you live on a bluff and have experienced erosion, drainage, or vegetation issues and want to find ways to reduce impacts to your property then consider attending this workshop and sign up for a free site visit. The workshops will consist of a two hour long classroom presentation and a beach walk/field trip afterward. Please bring clothing appropriate to the weather and sturdy shoes for field trip. Please register in advance!

  • June 8: Spring Into Summer Beach Clean Up
    Interested in making a difference? Come to Discovery Park and clean the beach. There are two miles of beaches that get trashed during winter months and your help is needed to clean them up. All needed supplies and safety instructions provided. Please register in advance.

    Celebrate the world’s one big ocean with the Seattle Aquarium. This year’s focus is ocean heroes: 
    everyone, no matter where they live, can help keep the ocean clean and healthy. Learn how with a 
    variety of hands-on activities and special demonstrations.

  • June 13: Port Susan Open House
    Warm Beach residents are invited to a free Open House to learn more about the health, history, culture, and marine life of Port Susan. MRC member Franchesca Perez, who is a local biologist and marine specialist, will talk about the marine resources of Port Susan. Penny Buse, educator and author of Stuck in the Mud, will share the history of pioneers who settled the area.
